In Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania the Maternal and Family Health Services have announced that the WIC program has expanded the WIC income guidelines. This will allow more families to participate in the free nutrition education program. The new guidelines went into affect on July 1st, 2016. The new guideline shows that a family of four could earn $44,955 annually and still qualify. For a family of three, the income limit is $37,296. The WIC program provides participants with supplemental healthy foods that has important nutrients needed for healthy development of both mom, infants and children.
